Renowned Actor Irrfan Khan Passes Away at 54

Bureau, April 29, 2020 - The Indian film industry mourns the loss of one of its most successful actors, Irrfan Khan, who passed away at the age of 54. The beloved actor, known for his versatile performances in both Bollywood and Hollywood, was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, where he succumbed to his illness.

Irrfan Khan had been battling a rare form of cancer, neuroendocrine tumor, since 2018. Despite his health struggles, he continued to work and inspire many with his resilience and dedication to his craft. His last film, "Angrezi Medium," was released shortly before the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


Irrfan Khan's family, including his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Ayan, were by his side during his final moments. His legacy lives on through his numerous acclaimed performances in films such as "Maqbool," "Piku," "Slumdog Millionaire," and "Life of Pi."

The Indian film fraternity and fans worldwide have expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the actor, remembering him as a strong soul who fought till the very end.

Dr. Anuradha Panigrahi Takes the Lead in 'Pari'

Dr. Anuradha Panigrahi transitions from playing the role of a sister to a lead actress in her next film. Anuradha, who was previously seen as Jyoti's sister in "Premare Rakhichi Shahe Ru Shahe" directed by Sanjay Nayak and presented by Raseshwari Entertainment, will now be seen opposite Jyoti as the female lead.

In the upcoming film "Pari," being produced under the Om Shanti Entertainment banner, audiences will witness the on-screen pairing of Jyoti and Anuradha for the first time. The movie is produced by Sanjay Mohanty and Chandan Swain and directed by Tripati Sahu. Sanjay Mohanty has written the story, with dialogues penned by Dr. Rajaniranjan, and music composed by Japanibhai.

Anuradha made her Ollywood debut with "Premare Rakhichi Shahe Ru Shahe" and later gained recognition as a lead actress in "Dil Re Achi To Ri Naam" opposite Sambit. Now, with "Pari," she continues to make her mark in the industry.

Biopic on Social Worker Shruti Mahapatra to Release on International Women's Day

Bhubaneswar (12 January 2025): Marking International Women's Day on March 8, the biopic titled ‘Pade Akasha,’ based on the life of social worker Shruti Mahapatra, is set to be released. Produced by Tarang Cine Productions, the film features Archita and Ankit Kumar in lead roles. For the first time, Ankit Kumar will be seen opposite the popular Ollywood actress Archita, playing the role of her future husband. The story takes a dramatic turn when the heroine meets with an accident and becomes paralyzed.

The film also stars Bollywood actor Rajesh Jais, Har Rath, Smita Mahanti, Mohan Majithia, Madhumita, and Vijayalakshmi in other key roles. Directed by Sushant Mani, the bilingual (Odia-Hindi) film has dialogues written by Bharadwaj Panda and a screenplay by Biplab Singh and Debidatta Mahanti. The music is composed by Prem Anand, with lyrics penned by Bijay Malla. Cinematography is handled by Shubhranshu Das and Phalgu Satapathy, while editing is done by Sukumar Mani.

‘Pade Akasha’ promises to be an inspiring film, celebrating the life and achievements of Shruti Mahapatra, and is eagerly awaited by audiences.

Bhubaneswar (13 January 2025): The much-anticipated Odia film ‘Rangashura’ has finally been released, bringing an end to all the waiting. The film, which is based on the traditional Odia folk dance ‘Bagha Nacha’ and women’s empowerment, has received a great response. It was houseful on the first day of release. Many actors, actresses, producers, directors, and cinema lovers from Ollywood have watched ‘Rangashura’ and have praised it highly.

The film is not only released in Odisha but has also hit theaters in seven cities across India. Produced jointly by Prakash Films and Moon TV Movies, ‘Rangashura’ has been released in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, and Chennai.

Producers Satchikant Jena, Prashant Behera, Sunil Yadav, and Pratap Raut have contributed to the making of the film. Pratap Raut, a highly experienced technician, has handled the story, cinematography, and direction.
